anyone else having trouble recently with the beginning of their videos skipping ( about 5 seconds into the start ). this is something recent. i have a hundred videos online and new and old are skipping like a second server is trying to push data through but is out of sync...thanks,

Bring Back the old Player
Please Please Please, bring back the old player. It is soooo much smoother, that silky smooth that you always described it as. This new one with auto play and Streaming download never getting to far ahead of the player (which in itself creates a buffer even with a 20md download speed). I will show you the difference if you want as some of my videos are still on the old player.

Video taking hours to process.
It's taking very long for my video to process. It's less than 400 megabytes and is around 5 minutes long at 720p.
This is the first video I have uploaded since the new Smugmug came into being. Is anyone else having this problem?

Download Quality Option Missing on the "New Smugmug"
In the past we could over over the poster frame of a video and it allowed us to get a link for any download size we need. Now it just seems to be full quality. This link was used daily by me. It is hiding somewhere? It is very function especially we I need to preview a file or give them a link in lower quality for a quick download.

Video Transcoding (How long should I wait?)
I've posted a number of H264 videos, they all show the poster image, but when I ciick to play them I just experience the smugmug loading graphic but the video never plays. I've followed the instructions SmugMug recommends for file type, settings etc. http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/84569
It's been over 12 hours since I originally uploaded many of these files. There doesn't look to be any reported issues on the status page so I'm wondering about how long do I need to wait for the videos to be fully transcoded?

Video Preview Stills
I've used the legacy SM for a while. When I've posted videos, SM has chosen a frame from the video for the video's preview still shot. Now (not sure if its a "new" SM problem or not) my videos upload but the preview frame remains blank. Does anybody have a clue how to establish a video preview shot?

Set Default to 1080p or Get Link to HD video
I've uploaded a video. I want to send a link directly to the 1080 HD version of the video (not the lightbox).
1. Is there a way to set the default res of the player to 1080 HD? I can get a link to the video from Share->Get Link->Embeddable Links. You can change the size in the URL, but don't see a way to set the default quality from Auto to 1080p. Is there a way to do this?
2. I can get a link to the video by looking at the source code. It's http://photography.oolaadesigns.com/photos/i-{some sort of key}/0/640/i-{some sort of key}-640.mp4
Now, if I change each instance of 640 to 1900. The video is bigger... but is it 1080 HD? It seems like it is because the video isn't 1900x1080 unless I hit full screen, and the quality seems right. Just want to make sure.

Video will not upload
I am trying to upload a video file (I have converted avi, mp4 and wmv). However, there is an error "upload failed".. it is an avi file and only 787gb.. I converted format and it is h.264.. per the website: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/84569. Help!!

Video linked to Facebook
Not sure now whether when a video is linked to Facebook from the new smugsmug it will work like the link from youtube, in which the video can be played directly on Facebook.

Download Video to iPhone (smartphone)
Is it possible to download a video to iPhone (camera roll) or Galaxy? When I go to album on my iPhone and click download video, it simply plays it.

Changing defaults on SM
I hope everyone is well. On SmugMug sites, video opens up in "auto" mode. Is there a way to on make this default 720p or 1080p? My videos are shot on either a 1D Mark IV or GoPro Hero 3. Thanks in advance :D

Uploaded movies not showing in gallery when customizing
This is my first journey into uploading video. I didn't attempt to do any pre-editing; just uploaded the .mov files from my camera.
The uploads finished and the gallery lists them. However, when I go to customize a page to show them,
the insert video edit doesn't show any legit items in the gallery when I try to select one.
I'll try the other two formats to see if I'm just selecting the wrong one, but are there other reasons I might run into this situation?

Black for Frame before hitting play
Before you hit the play button my uploaded video is showing black instead of a frame. When I bring up the same video on my macbook in quicktime, the one I uploaded to smugmug, the first frame is shown. The first frame is also show in the mac osx finder.
I thought the problem might be that I needed to "replace preview video image", so I did. That worked in the gallery view here, but not in the lightbox here.
Any idea why this is happening?

embed videos in forums
Hi.
Quick question: is it possible to embed a video from a smugmug gallery in a post on an ipboard forum? IP.board apparently supports many different video sources (youtube, etc), but I thought I'd ask here first.
I've tried the old iframe links, changing to embed, etc, but no luck.
Any pointers?

"Unknown File Type" when trying to upload videos to SmugMug
Recently I've been receiving the "Unknown file type" error when trying to upload a series of short videos.
The originals are in .3gp format, and they seem to upload fine but do not appear in the gallery afterwards.
Subsequently I tried converting to .mov and .mp4 through both Quicktime and MPEG Streamclip, but in all cases I get the error message...
Any ideas?
